End of Term

Although I have really enjoyed this class, I must say that I am extremely happy that it is almost over. I am now 28 weeks pregnant and going from teaching all day to night class is really starting to wear me out (and make my ankles swell) :). I have to take one class this summer (before the baby comes) and then one additional class and then I will be certified to teach computer classes on top of my business classes.

IT 365

I have really enjoyed this class. I feel like I have learned a lot of useful information that I will be able to put to great use in my classroom. I believe that my computer students will love working with Windows MovieMaker. All in all, I think it was a great learning experience and I am glad that I took IT365. Getting a good grade is the only thing that will make it better!!!

Web Tools

I loved the lesson on web tools. I found all of the sites to be very useful (except the one where I can layout my classroom). I especially liked the website where you could generate tests for free. This is a great tool that I can use now for practice tests. I also love the idea of integrating crossword puzzles into my lessons . I believe that my high school classes would really enjoy using them in their lessons. I have no doubt that I will use some of the web tools that we went over in class tonight.

What are some of the strategies for keeping the documents of a website organized?

The best way to keep documents organized is to make sure that the website is categorized to ensure that everything is easily accessible. You have to make sure that everyone can easily find what they are looking for. You might do this by keeping everything related. You can do this by placing student and parent information in separate places. It is also a good idea to have a place for miscellaneous information. However you decide to set it up, just be creative and make sure it is easy to navigate through.

Why are technology standards and profiles for teachers and students necessary?

Standards and profiles are necessary to create a learning environment that supports technology and maximizes student learning. Standards and profiles benefit the teacher in planning and staying current on technology and resources that can be utilized in the classroom. They benefit the student in learning by allowing the teacher to look at student progression so he/she can meet the diverse needs of students.

Blogging about blogging

This is my first experience with blogging and I think I will like it. I expected it to be hard and boring, but being able to learn it step-by-step has been a tremendous help. I actually believe it is something that I could use in the classroom.
